1. Organization and Membership

University Rifle Club Inc (“URC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a private, nonprofit 501(c)(4) organization dedicated to promoting responsible firearms education, training, and community engagement. Membership is required for access to most facilities and events, although certain activities may occasionally be open to the public at URC’s discretion.

2. Payments and Refund Policy

All membership dues, donations, and event fees are final and non-refundable. By submitting payment, you acknowledge that all transactions are binding and will not be refunded, in whole or in part, under any circumstance.

3. Conduct, Safety, and Compliance

All members and guests must follow URC’s firearm-safety rules, federal and state laws, and all posted range regulations. Violation of safety rules or misconduct may result in immediate suspension or termination of membership without refund.

4. Liability Waiver and Assumption of Risk

Participation in shooting and related activities involves inherent risk, including serious injury or death. By entering URC property or participating in any URC activity, you voluntarily assume all such risks and agree to hold harmless and indemnify University Rifle Club Inc, its officers, employees, and volunteers from any claims, losses, or damages arising from participation in club activities or use of facilities.

5. Communications and SMS Consent

By providing your phone number, email address, or other contact information, you consent to receive account notifications, event reminders, customer-support messages, and occasional promotions or club announcements from University Rifle Club Inc, including information about training sessions, safety updates, and membership opportunities. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time. Reply HELP for assistance. Consent is not a condition of purchase or membership approval. Mobile opt-in data and consent information are never shared with third parties for marketing purposes. All text communications are subject to this policy and to URC’s Privacy Policy.

6. Guest and Event Access

Guests may attend specific events or training sessions at URC’s discretion. Certain events may be open to the public; others require guest accompaniment by a member. All guests must sign a waiver before participating in any shooting activity.

7. Website and Digital Use

All content on www.universityrifle.org — including logos, text, images, and materials — is the intellectual property of URC and may not be copied, reproduced, or redistributed without written consent. Users agree to access the site only for lawful, non-commercial purposes related to URC membership and activities.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, URC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your participation in club activities, use of URC property, or reliance on website information.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless University Rifle Club Inc, its officers, employees, volunteers, and affiliates from any claims, losses, or damages arising out of your actions, negligence, or violation of these Terms.

10. Termination of Membership or Access

URC may suspend or terminate membership or website access at any time for violation of these Terms, misconduct, or behavior inconsistent with the Club’s mission or safety standards.

11. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms and all disputes shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Exclusive venue for any legal action shall be Berks County, Pennsylvania.

12. Updates to These Terms

URC reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on www.universityrifle.org with a revised effective date. Continued membership or use of our services after such posting constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
